Hudson advisers understand that your estate plan is one of the most valuable assets you can have. Knowing that you can protect your family and leave a legacy that secures their future is about more than money. This is why we have teamed up with Forge lawyers, to help make this process as stress free as possible, to help guide you through the process and to review your estate plan into the future. Tracey McMillan and her team offer tailored estate planning solutions, as well as a more affordable option of preparing online wills for our clients. For a small fee, Hudson clients can prepare their will online after which one of the qualified lawyers will review the will while it is in draft form. One of the most innovative firms in Australia, Forge are able to help the Hudson community all around Australia, operating in much the same way Hudson has over the last couple of decades. Tracey McMillan appears in many podcasts and is passionate about family law and making ‘law’ affordable for everyone. No one gets left behind. We’d like to introduce you to Tracey McMillan and John Clowes, Hudson’s legal associates.

Tracey McMillan is the CEO of Forge Legal who works tirelessly to achieve best possible outcomes for her clients. She became a barrister in 2001, practising predominantly in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Law.
In 2008, Tracey opted to leave the Bar and work as a solicitor, as she wanted a more hands-on approach with her clients, recognising that most matters were won or lost well before a barrister was involved in the case.
After years working as a special counsel, Tracey set up her own business, Queensland Family Law Practice in (2011), which has since evolved to become Forge Legal.
Tracey’s experience is exceptionally well rounded – while Family Law is her predominant area of practice, Tracey has vast experience with business structures, trusts, complex Superannuation matters and employment law.
Her unique experience working in child support with Legal Aid and her strong desire to support divorcing couples in minimising the distress to the family brought about by divorce has seen her extend her services in this area. She works as a Mediator, Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, Arbitrator and Parental Co-ordinator.
Tracey brings a human approach to the legal system. When working with a client she takes a holistic approach, exploring both the emotional behaviours behind client decisions and behaviours and the legal aspects of the case to create the most favourable outcomes for everyone involved.
Tracey is direct and strategic but compassionate with her clients and as a result, she is referred to as a fierce fighter for a good cause. She goes the extra mile and she genuinely takes each of her matters to heart, treating them as if she were representing her own family.
Her passion for justice sees her regularly invited to speak on topics of Domestic Violence and gender inequality in the Courtroom. She has also received numerous national and international awards, for her expertise in Family Law and matrimonial issues.
A Senior Lawyer at Forge Legal, Chris Colwill has helped clients achieve social justice for over 25 years. Chris was admitted as a solicitor in November 1994 and predominantly practices in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Law, Sport Law, Wills and Estate Law.

With decades of experience, Chris has assisted and represented a variety of sporting groups and athletes from elite international and Australia level through to local level clubs and groups.
Known for his empathy and compassion Chris has received numerous recognitions and awards for his expertise and community legal services.
Chris loves running and general fitness. Married for over 20 years he has 2 adult children. When Chris is not running or with his family, he will be enjoying a coffee and anything to do with sport.
