Prior to joining the Hudson family in 1997, David’s background was with Chartered Accounting firms. His working experience consisted primarily of statutory/compliance audits, financial accounts preparation, analytical review, reporting and presentation, client portfolio management, investment correspondence/execution and powers of attorney.
Having hailed from a small town of 4,500, David had a very strong desire to make his working life better reflect that of his personal core values. Armed with professional qualifications and experience he started to seek organizations that carried a corporate philosophy that believed that their greatest resource was indeed their people. Hudson strongly believes that its primary reason for success will be founded on win-win relationships; that of its staff and the members it deals with. “I remember how refreshing it was after my initial meetings with Hudson, to finally find a company that not only talked its mission statement, but believed in it”.
David’s responsibilities at Hudson include the strategic planning processes, company standardization, human resource management, payroll, legal compliance & maintenance, computer systems administrator, management accounts preparation & presentation, analysis, reconciliation & cash flow management. But more importantly David says, “With our extremely dedicated team, Hudson provides knowledge and the necessary tools for promoting wise money management to its members. I can truly say it is marvellous to be involved with an organisation such as Hudson.”
